After the month of hell (well… actually let’s say that last month is spot 7 in my “top 10 worst months ever”), finally I’m in good health, no more fever and nausea, and only a few red dots in my body (they are small, you can’t hardly notice them). Good thing my mother is a nurse, and paranoid. Otherwise this could have been really ugly.

Anyway, moving along, I threatened with bitching around if I didn’t go to my costume party. And since I was sick (and my parents practically tied me up on my bed), I’m now officially frustrated. I couldn’t dress like “Magenta” T_T!!! My students and classmates telling me how cool the party was and fussing around about the wicked costumes didn’t help either. Oh well, I guess that living my own “the prophecy” reenactment was kind of halloweenish. And one of my friends gave me a little headband with horns. I’ll use it in the parties this December… too weird?

In other news… new seasons, yay!!! Desperate Housewives started very interesting. I love Gaby. I honestly think that she and Carlos are one of the best couples ever. Susan is more annoying this season, I’ve never liked her.

Grey started very weak. After the two hours episode, I only loved Callie and Arizona (Cristina had his moments too… “Ceviche”… that was so… Cristina). I loved how Arizona kept bringing donuts to Callie. That was so sweet! Oh, I love Arizona, she is awesome. And how Callie did the test on Arizona’s patient just because she sent him with her. That’s love, people =P! (This is other of my favorite couples). Anyone thinks that the “Mark-Callie” interaction is a little bit like the “George-Izzie” interaction in early seasons? Don’t get me wrong, I love those two, I just find it very familiar. Of course I love Mark more, and Callie is way better than Izzie. Just saying.

I’m officially in love with “Smallville” again. I love the tension between Lois and Clark. And Merlin, with all the fan service! Oh, Arthur has the sexiest lips ^¬^!

Ghost whisperer… well, maybe it’s childish, but I don’t see it because that show entered instead of “Joan Of Arcadia” (which I think was a huge mistake), so I don’t care about the show. Medium is still watchable, and “México’s next top model” needs another host. Elsa Benítez just doesn’t cut it. The show needs a Mr. Jay (he rocks in the US version) and judges like Nigel Barker and Mrs. Jay. Guilty pleasure, I admit it. I think the show here in México has potential. Just needs a few adjustments.

I also didn’t go to the movies to see “Inglorious Basterds” (thank you, dengue), if anyone has seen it, how was it?

I’m pleased to inform that after mostly everyone in my workplace got sick, I also decided not be left behind and I got sick too. One week in bed rest with nausea and vomit (too graphic?).

I’m better now (I think), and on the good side, I lost 6 pounds =P!

Since I was bored to death in my bed with nothing good on TV (new seasons start on November in México), I saw “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” over and over. I love that movie. In fact, I'll have a party on October 31, and I’ll go as “Magenta”. At least is what I’m planning, but I’m still recovering, and my friends warn me that if I go while I’m weak, they’ll sell my autograph of Marcelino Bernal online. I can’t let that monstrosity happen.

If I go, I’ll bring pictures ^^… If I don’t go, I’ll bitch around a little bit.

Moving on, for the first time in my life… Halloween icons… BEFORE Halloween *_*!!!! This is such a great day! (ignore this, please).

I’m watching “Sense and Sensibility”. I love this movie, but I’ve always thought that Emma Thompson looks really old comparing her with Hugh Grant, who gave Edward no justice at all.

Moving on from my ramblings, this month is full with work. And to my delight, the only subject I need to complete my degree wasn’t offered this semester. My options are: Exam, or wait until it offers again. I want to graduate in December because I have a few friends who also graduate on that time, and it would be nice if I’m free of school on January. My parents say that I should go for the exam. And since I’m genetically built to do always the exact opposite as they say, I’m still thinking it. I have to confirm my decision next week, wish me luck!

Este post es dedicado especialmente a mi Lil sis, que está teniendo momentos medio difíciles, atorones en la vida. Oh sis, ya sabes que la vida apesta, pero siempre tendrás a tu big sis que te echará la mano cuando pueda y en lo que pueda (eso no es muy consolador ¿verdad?). En ocasiones quisiera poder dar la mejor solución a los problemas de la gente que quiero como ellos lo desean. Y como no puedo, pues mejor me vengo a hacer estúpidos posts =P

Sis, tu y yo tenemos muchísimo en común, por algo somos hermanas. Y platicando con uno de los idiotas de la maestria (si sis, uno de los piojosos, no creas que de los otros) empecé a acordarme muchísimo de las caricaturas de cuando éramos peques. La vida era tan simple en ese entonces ¿No? Casi no había complicaciones, o igual sis, no nos había contaminado tanto la inquisición.

Y entonces me dije: ¿Por qué no hacerle ver a mi sis que la vida, aunque apesta… tiene sus lados buenos? Y que mejor que… ¡CON OPENINGS DE LAS VIEJAS CARICATURAS!

Porque podrás recordar momentos agradables, cuando querías casarte con Mandrake, o que Ciro Peraloca viniera en su maquina del tiempo y te llevara con él… Oh, momento, esa soy yo, lalalala. Pero espero que al menos te alegre un poquito el recordar esos momentos que veías en la tele sis, con la intención de que veas que no todas las memorias son malas. Y que a veces irte un poco mas atrás te trae alguna sonrisa de vez en cuando.

Sis, esta zona retro es para ti. Disfrútala, y sabes que tu big sis pateará traseros cuando se lo pidas. Y espero no te moleste que ponga la explicación en ingles también… necesitamos practicar, las dos, así que mas te vale que le entiendas, ¿Eh? ^_^!... y también va para aquellos que crecieron con estas caricaturas, y se reunían cada sábado a verlas aunque estuvieran repetidos los episodios.

I was planning on posting icons today, but then on thing lead to another and… is going to be RETRO ZONE.

My lil sis is going through rough times. Life sucks, I know, and maybe I can’t do anything to solve difficulties the way everybody liked them, but suddenly it kicked in. My childhood was in the latest 80’s. That means: OLD CARTOONS! And while talking to a classmate (since we were forced to be together in a project, and we had to talk eventually) we shared our childhood crushes. And I was happy because life was so simple back then…

And remembering how awesome youtube is, I decided to look around and search for the openings of our favorite cartoons in Spanish… and I found them. And maybe I’m just being silly (and lame), but I wanted to post the videos here for you, lil sis, and make you smile with delightful memories. And also laugh at how I had the most silly crushes (and so did you, admit it!!!)

A lot is going on around us, especially in my case, since I’m Mexican. Let’s hope for the best, and be optimistic. After all, Beatriz Espejo always said “the Mexicans smile even in the darkest time, so they can bright the path that they are traveling around”. “Los mexicanos siempre sonreímos aun en los momentos de mas oscuridad para iluminar el camino por el que caminamos”.

Faith in the future and good music always makes life a little more enjoyable (and less bitchy in some cases).
